Highway 501 is the only drivable access in and out of the Vallecito valley.
The easiest route to get to Elk Point is to follow 501 up the west shore, around the north end, and down the east shore to us. The last two miles to the property are on a well maintained gravel road.
In the summer you may drive around the south end of the lake, however the road is not as maintained, higher clearance and all wheel drive recommended.
During winter the south option is closed, snowed over, and groomed to become the Vallecito Nordic Ski trails.
